Order TiN coated taps for improved performance in a wide variety of materials, and generally used in
applications.
Order taps with Steam Oxide finish for decreased galling and increased lubricity in low carbon steels and
gummy materials.
Nitride & Steam Oxide finish provides increased surface hardness and acts as a lubricant and also retains liquid lubricant at cutting edge. Prevents chip welding and
reduces friction.
